Scottish Clubs Championships 2017

Edinburgh took a massive team of 40 swimmers to Dundee on Sunday to compete in the Scottish Clubs Championships. In this event swimmers can compete in four events, regardless of age or grade level. There was also a welcome re-addition of a masters solo event, in which we hope to be able to enter a swimmer at some point in the future.

Edinburgh featured in the medals for each event –
Solo: Niamh won bronze with her Footloose routine
Duet: Cale and Niamh won bronze (their overall score was the same as the silver medalists from Clydebank, but they were just beaten on technical merit scores)
Free teams: These teams had to meet their age group grade requirements. Edinburgh’s 13-15 team won silver
Combination teams: Edinburgh entered four teams and the Edinburgh A team won bronze

All our swimmers performed well and enjoyed themselves.
