The club had a fantastic competition at the start of the month, in Aberdeen, at the Scottish Club Championships.
The competition started with solos, Baylee was our only swimmer in this section and won bronze.
In the duet section the club entered three duets, Baylee & Lucy won the silver medal and Olivia & Rose won the bronze medal and Niamh & Paula came 8th.
In the free team event clubs may enter one free team for each age group. This is the only event where a minimum grade is required. Edinburgh was the only club to enter a team. The 13-15 team won gold.
The biggest event of the competition is usually the Combination teams; however, Edinburgh was the only club to enter teams.
Edinburgh C (Juniors and 13-15s) won gold with their Guardians of the Galaxy routine. Edinburgh B (12 & Unders/Grade 2) won silver with their Wriggle routine. Edinburgh A (Beginners) won bronze with their Can’t Stop the Feeling routine. Well done all, especially those that were swimming in their first ever competition!
All the hard work put in by all the swimmers, coaches and volunteers, contributed to the club’s success on the day. Congratulations!
