The Scottish Clubs Championships were held yesterday in the Commonwealth pool.
Edinburgh had a great day and entered more swimmers than ever before. Overall, we came third.
The format of the championships is four open categories – solo, trio, duet and team. This is difficult for the newer swimmers as they are competing against far more experienced swimmers. However, the Edinburgh swimmers did brilliantly. Gateshead were a guest team and it was great to see them perform. They were not included in the results as it is a Scottish competition.
The results were:
Solo – Niamh came 5th
Trio – Ailsa, Aman and Maya came 4th, Cailtlin, Cale and Cara T came 6th
Duet – Jennifer and Katriona came 7th, Baylee and Lucy F came 11th, Eliza and Kiku came 12th
Team – Edinburgh A (Queen routine) came 3rd, Edinburgh C (Fun routine) came 6th, Edinburgh B (Bowie routine) came 8th and Edinburgh D (Hold my hand routine) came 11th
