Do you enjoy dancing, gymnastics, diving, swimming and music? If you do we would like to welcome you along to Edinburgh Synchro’s free “Come and Try” session being held at the Royal Commonwealth Swimming Pool on Sunday 13th September 2015 between 16:00-17:00hrs.
Some of the Edinburgh Synchro swimmers and coaches took part in a choreography course taken by Georgie Coombs, the ex-England synchro swimmer and respected coach and judge. They had a great day.
We took an excellent team to Aberdeen for the 2015 SASA Club Championships.
Girls from groups 2 and 3 enjoyed a fantastic weekend at Whithaugh Park in May. As well as training for the Club Championships they had fun raft building and conquering the low ropes course.
The bowling went very well and everyone seemed to enjoy the day. The bowling was won very narrowly (1 point) by Megan. She received a certificate on the day for being the highest scorer.
It has been a good year for Edinburgh Synchro. We have 45 members, almost all of whom competed in at least one competition this year. Here is a summary of the year.
A huge thank you to all the swimmers who took part in the Swimathon on 28 September. Together they raised a massive £590, which will be split between the club and Scottish Autism’s Swim for Autism challenge. The club will use the money to pay for club costumes for the girls.
Well done to all the swimmers who attended the Scottish National Competition at Drumchapel this year.
Due to popular demand Edinburgh Synchro is having another Come and Try taster session. It’s being held at the Royal Commonwealth Swimming pool on Sunday 21st September 2014 between 16:00-17:00hrs.
