The Junior team took part in the Swim England National Championships in September. Due to the pandemic the competition was virtual. The swimmers filmed their routines over two weekends in August and September, then the top 12 in each category were live streamed on Sunday 26 September.
Again, due to the pandemic there were very few competitions but the club awards were handed out at the AGM all the same, except the Champion of the Year. Star Awards were presented by the coach of each team.
Due to covid the club has been unable to hold its figure competition in the same way as previous years. However, Swim England put together a Level X competition, which aimed to get swimmers used to being judged again. Swimmers competed in their grade groups over four phases, from June to August. Edinburgh Synchro took at team of five to the Swim England National Age Groups in Manchester. They competed in both the figures and the free team event. Elisa came 102nd in the figures, with Natalia in 116th, Amy 139th, Madeline 148th and Rose F 158th. The team came 17th overall.

Due to the change in the synchro year the club has held its second Club Figure Competition of 2019 but the first of the 2019/20 synchro year. Again, almost all members of the club competed. As there was a change in the synchro year we have had our second awards night of 2019. This was celebrating the synchro ‘year’ from January to September 2019. As usual there was a disco, a buffet, a raffle and almost everyone in the club came along. The raffle had some amazing prizes, kindly donated …
The club had another fantastic competition last weekend at the Scottish Club Championships in Inverness. Almost the whole club was there to compete and contributed to the points total to regain the Mary Black Rosebowl Synchronised Swimming Club Championship trophy.
